Remote access and backup

Hi,

I tried to find a way everywhere and can’t for now.
I have a 2Tb mycloud. I installed it at the office. Here is what I would like to do :
1- Have my computer at home backed up remotely, regularly (I have a mac).
2- Make my cloud invisible on my office network

Do you have any idea how I would be able to manage this?

For question 1, see my response posted yesterday in another thread where a similar question was asked.

Bottom line is for remote backup of a computer you will have to use a third party backup program, or have some sort of VPN setup into the remote network where the My Cloud resides. Or use WD Sync software.

Why put a My Cloud on the local office network if you want to hide it? What purpose does the My Cloud serve on your local office network? There are several possible ways to “hide” the My Cloud from the local network but doing so may cause problems with access to the My Cloud. One way, depending on the local network configuration, is to assign an IP address that is not within the same IP address subnet as the office computers.
