I hope your English is better than my French or Google Translate works well enough.

I have an APC Pro-UPS connected to my WD EX4. I had to connect the UPS to my PC using the USB in order to configure any settings, then plug the USB into the NAS. Now the WD dashboard only reports status.

Bonjour Monsieur
The UPS is successfully connected and recognized by the NAS:

but I did’nt find any settings menu to the stops in the event of a power cut.
So I asked the Gemini AI and he told me this:

Some NAS, including the WD Cloud EX2 Ultra, allow you to schedule automatic shutdowns in the event of a power loss.

Bizarre.

Bonjour

Yes, when I first got my UPS, I had to install the UPS software on my PC then connect directly to UPS. Only then was I was then able to set Battery % thresholds for shutting down and a couple of other settings. Unplugged it from the PC and then into the NAS. Now I see essentially the same thing as you do on yours when looking in the WD Dashboard.

Does your Eaton come with software?

No. It’s a shame ! No floppy disk, no CD, I had to download it from Eaton’s web site.
Jokes aside, this tool (Eaton UPS Companion) installed on a PC only serves to configure the PC to schedule automatic shutdowns.
Compared to a Synology, My Cloud OS5 is not efficient.
