Who has access to the public folders?
Or is it only the people that I give permissions to or any won that that can access the IP address.

Both the “Public” folder and any Share configure for public access will be visible to anyone who can access the My Cloud on your local network. WD has decided that the Public share folder cannot be made private through the Dashboard with their “OS 3” firmware. One further note. Any media put into any Share which has its Media Serving option enabled (set to On) will be visible and accessible to any DLNA client that can access the My Cloud regardless if one sets the Public Access option for the Share containing the media to Private.
