Product End-of-Life?

I’ve searched but could not find a good answer…when is the EX4100 scheduled for end-of-life / end-of-support? Is there a time-table for other NAS products as well, ie. EX2 Ultra?

What is a general best practice to keep these devices in operation, 5 years before replacing?

End of Support comes when your warranty expires.
Even if WD stops updating the software for it, they’ll support the hardware until the warranty period ends.

Thanks but I meant more about overall - when does WD plan on discontinuing releasing firmware updates?
