Problems with remote access from wd2go.com! Please help

Hi,

I can access my WD from wd2go.com both with my win7 (32-bit) computer and with the wd2go app on my android phone.

I also tried to get online with my computer with another net provider and it worked fine.

BUT, my friend can’t logon (we have tried with the same credentials a dozen times.

He has win 7 64-bit but Java 32-bit and Chrome 32-bit is installed. He also tried with I.E. but got the same error.

He manage to login at wd2go.com but when he click on the MyBookLive icon and enter the password he got this page with the message “Fel - klicka för mer information " meaning " Error - click for more information”. When he click he got this pop up message with “ClassNotFoundException” (see screen below).

Any idea what might be wrong?

I have exported certificate from java (western digital technologies) and from chrome (remotewd.com) and he has imported them in the same place.

He has reinstalled latest java versions (32 and 64 bit) but always gets the same error messages.

So please help us!

Thanks in advance
Harry

Try disabling and enabling remote connection

what firmware are you running?

Thanks for your reply, but it doesnt work. I have try disabling and enabling the remote connection lots of times.
In the Web UI I got the information that I have the latest firmware, (ie I get no info that new firmware is available for download so I guess I have the latest).

Or can I check Firmware in an other way?

Seems like My Book Live and Windows 7 64-bit don’t cooperate very well togheter.
There are other similar questions like this in this forum/internet but none where support has written a answer that works and I havent heard anything from support even though I sent my email several days ago, and that **bleep**:frowning:

It’s most definitely a JAVA error – something specific in your installation.

I have Win7 64 on three different machines and they all are working normally…

Make sure the Java you’re using matches the BROWSER (32-bit Java for 32-bit Browser,  64-bit Java for 64-bit Browser.)

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your answer.  We have tried to reinstall the java (both 32 and 64 bit) but always with the same results, but we will try it again and see if it makes any differs.
