I have a problem with my WD elements play. Few months ago, the 1 TB HDD failed.
Since is out of warranty, I tried few days ago to replace it with a new HDD. Since is not a WD hdd, why do I receive the following error while connected via HDMI on my Sony TV.
“Invalid internal hard disk detected. Please reconnect the original hard disk”.
What shall I do now? Any suggestions?

the drive is NTFS, it can be used via usb on pc. Is autorun needed on the new drive?

Solution is WD hard drive … Just tested with an 2.5 ‘’ and it worked.
If someone knows a way to make it work with another hdd, please reply.
