Problem with safepoint backups for non English characters in file names

I have problem, when I try to recover files from safepoint backup. All file names with non English characters was corrupted! If safepoint not support non English characters in file names, please provide another solution for MyBookLive backup!

There is some sync softare you could try to sync the unit with the destination you wish, lets see if another user can share some tips or information on this matter.

This, unfortunately is a known issue and an old one. I’m surprised it’s not been fixed. the exact issue is that some of the Linux utilities used to perform the safepoint backup are quite old versions. :frowning:

I don’t use the safepoint backup on the MBL for that reason.
