PR2100 - Plex CouchPotato/Sonarr/SABnzbd

Purchased my PR2100 today to use as a server for my growing Plex content that’s originally been on my iMac.

Currently in the process of transferring the files which is taking a while, as expected.

Currently my setup involves all downloads managed by CouchPotato, Sonarr and SABnzbd running on my iMac which then transfers the files to my new NAS. Wanting to know what my options are for installing these services directly onto my PR2100 since they aren’t available as an app. I’ve read numerous articles about using a service like Docker to put the applications on the NAS but have also read multiple issues about how the applications can’t “see” outside of their directory. I have never used Docker before, so curious about how it would all be set up. Also it seems that each application would need to be re-installed after each firmware update.

There doesn’t seem to be a definitive guide on how I would be able to do this. I’m content with my current setup how it is, but eventually I want to have it all self-contained on the NAS.

Any pointers or help would be appreciated while I get my system back in working order.

Hello,

Let’s see if any of the users can share some information about it since I have not tried this yet.

Although by no means an expert, I did create a share using the built-in Admin tool when you loginto the drive, and then used a docker container to access it. (I think using the -v switch.)

Thanks for your response. This is what I was looking at but I don’t fully understand docker/creating a container via a computer over the network.

Can you post how you did it and if the container you made can access other shares on the NAS? I read you need to bind the folders…

This is my instructions for installing owncloud…

These are… vs this is. Grammar, always grammar!
