No recover but you can reset
the bad part is that reset means erasing everything
if the data was not backed up in other drive you will lose it

i have been using wd my passport 500gb for an year now . i had a passward for like the first two mounths and then i removed it , but like two days ago when i switched my computer on WD is randomly asking me for a password , what do i do ? PLEASE HELP , i cant affoed to loose my data it is really very important !! please help
Try using a different user account like guest account or another computer. Occasionally that works if not you’re out of luck. You just learned a hard lesson. Never trust important data to just one drive internal or external no matter who makes it.

i tried that too , it dosent work , it still asks me for a password , isnt their any other way to get my data back ?
how can it randomly ask for a password when i did not even set one ???
