Dear All, My friend bought a WD My Passport External Hard Disk and he connected it to his Computer and given a password and now I have received that External Hard Disk but It can not be opened due to Password taken and My friend & I don’t know the password so what is the Solution, Need your Help about this Problem…!

If you can’t remember the password you can only wipe the drive. There is no master reset. The data is hardware encrypted by a board inside. If you try connecting as an internal or in a different enclosure the data will be encyrpted.
