Can someone please tell me how to get my PC to see that the drive is unlocked?

Once you enter the password to unlock the drive it would show up in the file explorer.
No, it unfortunately still says that the drive is locked and can’t find some sort of readable file? Can’t remember specific language but something saying it can’t write to the drive since it’s locked?
