Hi
Get the following error message when I try to create a new Cloud User
Failed to create device user. (400073).
Any proposal.

check your cloud access status under Settings/General. If it says “Ready” then you do not have cloud access connectivity. Try putting a static IP address on the drive under networking and use public DNS servers like Google’s 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
Thank you for your quick follow up.
It reads
Connection Status, failed
Cannot establish remote access connection. Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
Should I still give it a try with static IP
Br. Jan
Could it be Internet service provider has changed some settings in my router.
Br. Jan
that is possible, if the started blocking ports 80 and/or 443
Standby, I’ll get this verified tomorrow, but need to go to sleep now.
Let me know if I should check anything else.
I’ll revert tomorrow.
Br. Jan
In the router it seems 5-6 ports from the WD product are forwarde to port 80.
This not something which I’ve configured, so it seems there is no blocking.
Br. Jan
try my initial suggestion then, it may be a DNS issue and not the ports.
Some more information,
Before I deleted the User I’m trying to re-create now I was able to connect over WiFi, from my mobile, but not via 3G/4G…
Now suddenly I can’t re-create the user in Cloud Access, nor other users.
I’ve upgraded to the latest firmware 04.04.04-113
Hope you have a proposal

Hi again,
It worked introducing static Ip and DNS, great.
Now I’m able to create a new user under Cloud Access.
After user is created I request an email to be sent with Login information.
An email is sent with link etc.
Unfortunately the link don’t work meaning I can’t access the website
web.wd2go.com
Is the website down?
Br. Jan
Try www.mycloud.com
Hi again, this is the never ending storry
The mycloud.com site seems working, but when I push the button “Sign In” no Logon box appear, just blank screen.
I’ve tried on both my IPad and a WindowsPc with IE11both connected to my WiFi.
What is going on?? Any proposal.

The MyCloud.com portal is working on my end at the moment in Firefox. Do you have any plug-ins or extensions in the web browser that might be blocking scripts or access? Can you try a different web browser on your Windows PC?
If the My Cloud is on the same local WiFi network there is no need to use MyCloud.com. On the Windows PC simply use Windows File Explorrer. On the iPad use the WD mobile app for iOS or some sort of file manager app that allows access to NAS devices.
Hi Bennor,
Thank you for the proposal
Just tried with Chrome>> same result.
Ref… The IPad I know I should use the use iOS app “mycloud”, but the link in the email which is sent, when you create a user won’t work, meaning I don’t get a new user created in cloud access.
Only my wife old mobile cloud access work, but only when connected on WiFi. We don’t get access outside WiFi, 3G/4G. This stopped working a few weeks ago. I started to panic, and decide to re-create my own cloud access by deleting and then create again. To get mycloud product connected to Internet I had to switch from DHCP mode to static and enter DNS manually.
Seems the product is now connected to Internet, but I can’t get the new cloud access user authorized, using the email link, and my wife cloud access only works when connected on WiFi.
I’m a bit stock…
Any help is welcome.
Br. Jan
I don’t quite remember with the iOS mobile app if you actually need to enter in the MyCloud.com username/password or if the app simply searches the local network for the My Cloud and adds it (I think one would enter their Dashboard created User name/password) or one enters the code that can be generated from the Cloud Access page within the Dashboard. There is some explanation in the My Cloud Dashboard Help > Home > Getting Started > Remote Access Basics section. Here are some basic directions from that help section:
Granting Remote Access to a Mobile Device (Alternate Method)
This procedure describes an alternate way of getting remote access to your cloud from a smartphone or tablet. Note:
This method is risky if you use it to grant access to a mobile device
that you don’t own or use. The owner of the mobile device could get the
same administrator privileges as you.
To grant remote access to a mobile device:
If you haven’t already done so, enable remote access to your cloud for all users. How do I do that?
Install the WD Photos and WD 2go apps onto the mobile device. See Downloading WD Mobile Apps.Click Cloud Access.
In the left pane, click the name of the user whose mobile device you want to grant access to the cloud.
Click Get Code.
My Cloud displays a code you must enter into the mobile device within 48
hours. Write down this code to ensure that you remember it.
Click Finish. On the mobile device, enter the activation code.
After the device is activated, access the content on the My Cloud drive through the WD Photos and WD 2go apps.
Also try going to https://files.mycloud.com or the older https://www.wd2go.com/ and see if you can log into the online portal that way.
