Just set up for the first time. Attempting to watch videos via the iPhone app. While the video does play, there is no sound. When I play the same video on my computer the audio is there. So I know it exists but just isn’t coming through. I’ve tried muting and unmuting sound in the app and I’ve tried turning volume up and down.
you should probably check your video files Audio Codec to see if they are supported in the iPhone app.
eg. are they AC3, DTS, AAC, EAC3, MP3, PCM, LPCM etc
PC Media Player Software pretty much support every Video/Audio codec … “Apps” not necessarily so
download an old version of Mediainfo to inspect you video files codecs. (i’m using MediaInfo 0.7.89 on Windows … Mac version available as well)
Ok- will check that out. But will that correct it? One of the big reasons for purchasing My Cloud was so that I could stream videos on-the-go. If the app doesn’t support it then that is very disappointing. I believe many of my videos are .Mov files. Also they aren’t on my phone, but my computer external drive. Will the mediainfo app be able to access them? Or only those files that are on my phone camera roll?
