No artwork using iTunes server feature in MCM

Using iTunes version 12 on Mac using Mavericks (10.9.5). Got the WD iTunes server turned on, and have refreshed the database multiple times, but anytime I select the WD server as the library in iTunes, no albums display artwork. 

If if I turn off the WD server feature in the dashboard then change the media directory within iTunes advanced preferences, all the artwork will display properly. 

Firmware 1.0.5.25

iTunes 12.0.1.26

MCM 8TB (4TB in Raid 1)

That’s how iTunes Server works.

Thanks. I spoke with a Level II tech at WD today who said he would forward my finding to engineering. His reaction would indicate that this is NOT how the iTunes server works.
