hello @SuperDenton i had some issue with latest version of wd dashboard.im using a WD SN580 500GB version.it shows some error 0xc0000005 when i open the app in windows 10.i had no issues with old version of WD dashboard.Luckily i was able to grab an older version of wd dashboard.im sharing the link here.Iit is actually an issue from the software side.I hope they fix it soon since its a billion dollar company and has the ample resources to do so.
How can it be that after a year this software (now version 4.2.2.5), which fails to detect recent WD NVMe drives, has not been properly fixed? Seriously?
In my case drives are partially detected, but SN850X mounted in 2nd slot of a ROG Strix SCAR 18 G834JY gaming laptop is missing interface/connection speed/GEN info (see pic): https://i.ibb.co/28gzF0D/image.png
Opening tickets is a waste of time: support team can only help on users/pc configuration issues, but in this case they are clearly WD Dashboard software bugs to be fixed, not something on the user side.
@SuperDenton You’re welcome! I’m glad the version works for you. Feel free to reach out if you need any further adjustments or updates once WD gets back to you.
I had the same issue and was able to fix it under Windows 11. The culprit was a silent message of the Windows Security Center about a blocked attempt of WD Dashboard to access memory in a suspicious way. Head to Windows Security → Ransomware protection and allow access or disable the Ransomware protection.
