New to the forum got it to connect

and new to setting the wd up having trouble doing the network settings.i have tried to do the auto one but it says wrong ip address.  so i have typed the info numerous times buy it does not stay.  after each time it says the connection was created.  help i have no idea what i am doing.

i have an airport router.

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. They will assist you installing the device, you can do so either by phone or email.
