Network access problems

Hi All,

I’ve had a number of problems with my WD Live Hub with a wireless dongle (Netgear WN111v2);

  1. WD Live Hub kept freezing whenever wireless dongle was plugged in (all good now though)

  2. WD Live Hub kept saying network password was invalid, but then accepted it after multiple attempts.

  3. MAC can see WD Live Hub but keeps saying “connection failed” when trying to connect

  4. PC can see media conent on WD Live as a media server, but not other files.

The funny thing is that I got the whole setup working properly (both computers seeing Hub) once. I’ve trolled through the forums and tried a different IP address but that didn’t work.  Any ideas from anyone? This is really starting to frustrate me.

Hi there, it sounds more like a networking problem. Try a different wireless adapter or a wired connection for testing, also try with a manual IP configuration to discard an tangent IP conflict.
