Need to Delete Trash from External Drive

HI there,

I have a WD 1TB external drive and the Trash has completely filled it up. Is there a way I can delete the trash from the drive and set it up so the backup DOES NOT backup the Trash on my Mac?

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jennifer,

The TM doesn’t back up the Trash folder, and you cannot set TM to not to backup the trash. When your file is deleted permanently, you can enter TM to restore it back from a previous copy of the backup. Hope this helps!!
