I have a successful backup on mycloud home via Time Machine and am trying to restore from this backup. After selecting “TimeMachineBackup” on network “MyCloud-R…” I am prompted for name and password with “System Administrator” already completed within the name box.
Having looked at other threads, I was reminded that when you set up Time Machine you have to use the guest setting. I tried “Guest” and “guest” with all of my usual passwords and with password blank but to no avail.
One thread also suggests that you use the username and password that signs you in the dashboard. This is my email address and I was able to view the password when signing in to the dashboard. This also drew a blank when inserted in the restoring from backup box.
Any help gratefully received as to how your sign in to the Time Machine backup on cycloid home.
