MYCloud PR2100 loses finder access

I bought a new PR2100 4TB - It is set up and seems to be working fine except I cannot keep it connected. I can see the Public/SmartWare/TimeMachineBackup folders but all of the are not accessible. I have to restart my MacBook Pro and it suddenly is accessible. It shows as “Connected as Guest” but is not connected Error message says " The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “Public” can’t be found."
