MyCloud not visible on Smartware

Is there anybody that can help.  Smartware doesn’t see the Mycloud 2T in my windows 8.  It worked in my windows 7 laptop.  Just can’t seem to see it!!!

Uh, the network sees the device, but the WD My Cloud software sees it. 

I have an ethernet cable connected directly to it now.  Anybody out there help out?

Check the network type on the Network and Sharing Center to ensure the security level is not set to Public Network. Also verify your current Firewall and Antivirus settings for local networking traffic restrictions.
