MyCloud device not found on new Mac when setting up MyCloud

I can see my MyCloud device on two iPads, two iPhones and a MAC. running 10.13.4 OS. I have also verified through a web browser that my device is available over the internet. I bought a new Mac and just tried loading the MyCloud software (setup) onto the computer. But this new computer, and only this computer, cannot locate the MyCloud device. Is this because the name of the MyCloud device was changed previously? All devices are on the same network.

How do I get the MyCloud software installed on my new computer?

Is the my cloud showing up in the finder?

If I simply open a finder window, no the device does not show in the finder window on the left hand ribbon, where all other resources are located.

If I login to the MyCloud device as a guest (cannot login as a registered user, although I am one) it still does not appear in the left hand ribbon of resources.
