I can normally access media on my MYBW with my WDTV live in two ways.

(1) As a Media server accessing shared videos,music and photos.

In this way I can normally access my media via upnp players for iOS and Andriod such as Plug Player , Twonky Media player and the WDTV live remote app.

(2) As a password protected shared networked drive.

Accessible on WDTV Live and computers on a share network.

At present I can’t see any files if I browse as a Media server(1).

All of the files are still there and in good condition.

What he heck is going on?

Files under this media server view started to drop from till only a third were visible.

In Bonjour I tried to reset the Twonky directory to default - No cange. I then tried to rebuild the directory and the result was that no files were visible at all under Media server mode.

What is going on?

Hi, have you tried doing a simple power cycle?

Ofcourse I’ve restarted it. It was the first thing I tried.

The only thing that partially worked was doing a complete factory reset, which involves backing up the entire drive and doing a complete re format. Even then only a portion of the files are visible.

Somehow Twonky media server is corrupting the Media Server’s shared files.

If you look through this forum you will notice that this problem is common with this NAS and nobody seems to be able to resolve it.

Just wondering if anybody with MyBookLive is experiencing the same bug.
