MyBook Thunderbolt Duo - Upgrade drives?

I’ve used a 6TB MyBook Thunderbolt Duo with my MacBook Pro Retina for over 3 years, and it’s been great.  I’d like to replace both 3TB drives in the enclosure with larger ones if that would work.  Anyone know?  Anyone tried to do it?

Hello and welcome to the WD Community.

Not sure if that’s might be possible, although, some users were able to do that on a different unit.

See if the following link helps

just putting the information so that its out there… I had a 8TB (2x 4tb) thunderbolt duo… I just shucked 2x 8TB WD Elements, (8TB white label - Red drives) - the Thunderbolt Duo enclosure works fine, WD Drive Utilities recognised it as 16TB, applied RAID1 config - everything works.
