MyBook Live works in Windows 7, Fails to respond in Windows 10

I have a MyBook Live, a Windows 7 Computer and two Windows 10 computers connected with a switch. A wireless router is also connected to the switch.
The Windows 7 machine appears to work normally. It shows two mapped drives, Z and Y, which are part of the data on the MyBook Live. There is also a folder on Y: that I can access with a convenient link.
All machines are able to access the page listing “Settings, Users, Shares,…” etc. I can log on to it. But with the Windows 10 machines I am not able to access the mapped drives or see the contents of the MyBook Live.
All computers were originally set up with a different router. Now I am using a router that’s provided by a new ISP.
I just want the Wintows 10 machines to operate normally as before, and as the Windows 7 machine does now.

Error message from Windows 10 “troubleshooting” says:
“Your computer appears to be correctly configured but the device or resource (MYBOOKLIVE) is not responding.”

I haven’t seen this particular symptom, but Windows 10 is (purposefully) more sensitive to network changes - such as a new router - than previous versions. In particular, Windows 10 sees a new router as an indication that you may not longer be on a trusted network and will change your network profile from “Private” to “Guest or Public”. Search the web for “Make my pc discoverable”. A fairly good walk-through of the solution is at
_http://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-10/how-to-enable-network-discovery-and-configure-sharing-options-in-windows-10/_

Also check that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled. (That option is pretty well hidden. Search the web for a description of how to find it.) Windows 10 defaults this option to “Auto” (as did previous versions, I think) but the rules Windows 10 uses to automatically set it may have changes.

There are probably other things I’m not remembering, but those are a starter set.
