I buyed this product about 2 mouths ago, MyBook Live 2T for backup hard. I used for time machine with my MBP, but today i don’t know what’s happend but, the drive is dead. The Led is White, and the drive not responding for anything.
I tried to access from the dashboard, but I can’t open the dashboard.
Maybe I need to rewrite the firmware, but how ? Without the dashboard I can’t do manualy!
Please help me! The drive is full of important information
I’m not sure, but I think the white LED means it’s stuck trying to do an update. Have you tried unplugging the network cable, turning on the NAS, waiting 5 minutes then plugging in the network cable? Worth a try.
Yes, I tried, but no effect. I tried a reset too, and nothing :( I can’t imagin whats happened…
If I push the reset button on the back, absolutely no effect. When I disconnect from 220V and plug again, then The led is Blue ( I hear the boot sounds from the hard ), and then change to white :( And after that nothing. No sleep, No respond, no dashboard
I’m having the same problem. I see this post hasn’t been solved yet and its been a couple months. In response to the last question I’ve done everything the guy in this post did but nothing different. I had no power failure. The thing just quit working and stays white. I’ll never buy a WD again.
