So my WD My Passport Studio (an old one) is not detected with windows 10 despite the light glowing solid . Since it is an old one, it uses primarily a 1394B firewire connection. I have had to run a cable from there ( 8 pin) into an adapter that changes it to the smaller fire wire ( 4pin), and then from there a converter from 4 pin fire wire to USB-C. It appears the device is powered normally but not showing up despite trying numerous tips from google searches. The cables are brand new. The port works fine with other devices. Any ideas?
