My WD Passport doesn't connect

I’ve been using WD Passport for last 8 years and I worked flawlessly. But since a week its either not getting detected or getting detected after I try to reconnect it numerous times to same USB port. When it connects I can hear the internal spindle motor moving. I have tried all methods including uninstalling driver, updating driver, enable/disabled USB setting within power management, disable USB power control setting within USB hub adapter properties, connect with new cable and connect to different ports as well as different systems. I just want to move data to a different drive and then format My Passport. Is there any way this can be achieved ?
