I’ve bought 3 days ago an HDD " my passport wireless 500G" but i have a problem or i just don’t understand how it works…
I have put some movies into HDD ( i have no problem USB when i plug it in my PC). But when i want watch movie , i plug my HDD in my tv by USB but NOTHING works, why ? HDD works only in WIFI ? my tv is a basic tv that dont work in WIFI.
HDD is format in NTFS , i tried all format .

You may want to try following steps:
- Ensure it works on a computer and wirelessly.
- Other drives are working with the TV? If yes, then what capacity?
You may also try contact WD support regarding this:
The drive does not work in a tv. You need a portable HDD (not wireless) or a USB stick for that. If your tv is smart tv, you can access the files by connecting to the my passport wireless drives network and use the built in Twonky server to stream movie to tv.
