I have a new passport ultra external drive. Running on windows 10 pc. cannot run automatic backup using my scheduled settings. The only way to do backup is to run a mannual backup. Why is this…???
What is the name of the app you are using to handle your backups? Is it WD SmartWare, or is it WD Backup? What happens when the scheduled time arrives? Is your hard drive connected and active the time of the backup? If your unit or your system has entered sleep mode then your backup may not proceed.
I use WD Backup - Todays schedule time arrived, and the WD backup was successful… I think at other times last week my system may have entered sleep, and like you said backup may not proceed, Thanks for help…
