Hi, just bought it few days back, when I put it on USB 2.0, everything goes well including the software (WD Backup, WD Security etc.) but on USB 3.0, my disk cannot use the software since it says ‘please use a proper WD device’ when I want to unlock the disk. Please help.
Does this happen on different computers that have USB 3.0 Ports and 2.0? Check the drives on your USB controllers on the computer to see if there is any update pending for that. Hope this helps
