My Passport Ultra 1TB is not getting detected anywhere on Windows 7

After connecting the drive, it starts blinking with white LED and also I am hearing the noise of the disks rotating inside of my passport drive.

However it doesn’t shows up anywhere on the Windows 7 System. I have also tried to on different systems.

I checked device management, disk manaement → No Drive is shown, or even no unrecognized device is shown.

Also this drive is not seen in “Safely Remove” Panel.

I have tried to check it through diskpart on command prompt, however it is showing even there.

I have been much taking care of this drive, even though facing this issue.  I am very concerned about my data.

I have important data on the drive and I need it by any means.

i assume you checked all the USB ports on the computer and possibly tried another computer as well, correct?

if you have the:

  • very small chance that you have a bad USB cable

  • your drive has a slow response issue like here
