My passport studio not detected in Mac

I was working on my passport studio WD ( transfering files) when all of a sudden, an error appear : Your drive was not ejected properly. I replug it ( the drive uses firewire 800) and it is no longer detected on my Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 nor the disk utility. The light is not blinking but you can hear it spinning. I’d tried restarting my macbook and it’s still wont able to detect the drive.

Any idea how to fix this? as i have important files inside

I’ve been using it for 3 years without any problem.

Are you able to test the unit using a USB cable? if possible test the unit on a different Mac with the firewire cable.
