My 4 month old Passport will not mount. It appears in DiskUtilities. I used the First Aid Option and everything registered as fine. The WD Drive Utilities app reports an error but won’t tell me where. Is there anyway to fix even if the drive is only available as Read Only? I have tried 3 connection cords and WD is sending me another.
I had a previous Passport for over 3 years which finally failed, but on it’s last left it went into Read Only mode- which is when I replaced it.
Any error in the quick test, full test, or SMART test diagnosed by WD Drive Utilities means the unit should be replaced under warranty.
