My Passport Disk not mounting on Mac

When I plug my My Passport drive into my Macbook Pro everything works like normal (light flashing etc) but only two of the three partitioned disks appears in finder. When I look in Disk Utility I see the three disks but the one which is not showing up is grey and ‘unmounted’. I cannot seem to get this disk to mount. What can I do? I know it’s not a problem with the cable/USB because the other disks mount fine, so it must be an issue with the hard drive. I’ve tried repairing/verifying the disk in disk utility but this does nothing. I know very little about computers or what the problem could be.

Hello,

It is possible the partition is corrupted. You can delete the partition and re partition the drive. If you have important data on the partition I recommend you try to recover it using a data recovery software. If you try to format the drive it will delete all data stored on it.
