My Passport 0740

My computer fell on the ground, and when I connected it to the computer, it started to sound, and it did not recognize the disk, but the USB arrived and it works very well, but I can not find the disk to access it. My computer says that there is no device identification program, To fall on the ground was working well ,
Does this mean the device has been damaged?
