My hard drive seems to have died! :(

Hi all,

I bought my wd external harddrive about 18 months ago and it has been working perfectly until recently when its won’t even get recognized by the laptop. Normally it would open within about 15 seconds and work perfectly but now nothing is happening at all.I have absolutely **bleep** loads of stuff on my harddrive and use it quite regularily so any help would be greatly appreciated.

1st step is to try different cables and on a different computer. Failing that, then we can go into it a little further.

Will do that, my friend actually has the exact same hardrive as me so i’ll try his stuff and get back!cheers mate!
