My Cloud wont stay on & light is solid when on

My Cloud was working fine then my network couldn’t see it anymore. The light also went solid yellow (maybe orange). I have pushed the soft reset button and same thing the light stays solid. I tried powering down & back on solid light still. Support says bad hard drive, but is there any way I can get the files off myself or maybe try something else. I desperately need the files and I thought the files were backed up online. I would access them through the web. My ignorance… Wont happen again…

Have you tried a different router port, or network cable?

Does this problem coincide with a network change (e.g. a new ISP or router?)

Data recovery from a broken MyCloud (not if the HDD is broken…)
