I have just purchased a new EX2 to replace a 5 year old WD NAS that won’t connect to our new corporate WIN 10 security environment. I’ve been advised that I need at least Samba version 3.6.23. I was hoping that firmware Firmware Version 2.30.165 (04/04/2017) would settle this as it states
Resolved Issues:
Enhanced SMB server (samba) to support Apple Time Machine protocol extensions.
Enhanced SMB server (samba) to operate using SMB-3 protocol by default.
