My Cloud EX4 Will Not Shutdown

I tried to shut down my EX4 since I am leaving for a few days and by pushing the button on the front of the device. I have done this in the past without issue. This time, however, the front display has been saying “System is shutting down” for more than 6 hours. It normally only takes a few minutes. What can be causing this and is it safe to pull the power to try to get it back to a functional state?

Try to access the device’s web dashboard to see if there is any other system message. Contact the WD Support team directly if further assistance is needed.
