My Cloud DL2100 not working

Hi all,

We have an ol’ Western Digital My Cloud DL2100 here.

It was empty so we inserted 2 blank drives.

It starts. HD spin up, heads move.

Fan at full speed.

Ethernet is blinking like crazy but device does not show up in router.

Blue light on power-button is blinking 1x per second.

Both HD lights constantly blue.

Tried holding power-on and reset for 30+ sec. no change.

I then let it sit as described for a couple of days (read somewhere “be patient” :°) but noting changes.

Is it “bricked”?

What is it doing on the network?

(How) can it be brought back to life and use?

As said, no data at risk.
