My Book World Edition II 6TB

Hi

I purchased a My Book World Edition II 6TB and have a few questions:

The backup software included doesnt specify how many licenses is available?

Also I checked in the Quick Install Guide, no Serial number?

Does the backup software work on Windows and Mac?

I would like the Backup data from the My Book to another external data drive, is that possible. I have considered the following options, any suggestions or other options will be great please:

  1. Connecting a USB drive and using the Copy Manager

-Transfering the 3TB over USB2 will take forever

-Will it slow down the device a lot?

-Is there a way to do a sync instead of a transfer

  1. Somehow transfering the data between 2 NAS devices over Gigabit Ethernet prefeably doing a sync while only using the NAS drives not putting a PC in the loop

The software has up to 5 licenses and you can purchase  additional if you need. It can be used on Windows or Mac, all you need is to download the specific version you need from your registration page.

Using the copy manager is one option, also you can drag and drop files. The speed will be at usb 2.0 , up to 480 mb.

No sync option.

The software does not have the option to backup one Nas to another, so you’ll be on the same scenario on that case (copy/paste or drag/drop)
