I have been using my “My Book Live” network drive as a backup drive for all of my files and I recently noticed that I was not seeing any activity on the drive. When I opened Smartware I noticed that drive no longer shows up as a possible backup target and it is no longer visible to WD Quick View.
The drive still shows up as a storage device on my network.
I have tried rebooting the drive, shutting it down and restarting but to no avail.
I would appreciate any assistance anyone can offer.
Thanks to anyone who has looked at this and may be trying to find a solution but I have solved the problem. I reset the drive back to factory settings and have gone through the process of re-installing the drive and that has worked. Now all I have to do is re-backup all my files.
