I have windows 8 and just bought the My Book Live Duo 4 TB drive. I began the setup from the CD and started the search. i got the next screen that assigned Z to the drive. I then hit the continue button and got a windows error that My Book Live Duo setup has stopped working with the further message “a problem caused the program to stop working correctly, Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.” That is a far as I can get. Anybody else ever get this problem or know how to fix it?
Not sure what version of Setup ships with the drive, but you might try the version that’s available for download:
