My book for Mac

I’m trying to access my old drive, which I had accessed before on my iMac, but now when I try to access it I will get an initial warning saying that
“You must run the WD Drive Unlock application from the WD Drive Unlock CD associate with the drive you want to unlock. Click exit, locate and open the related WD Drive unlock CD, and the run WD Drive Unlock to unlock the desired drive”
After I exit, the drive then goes into a never ending boot loop, the drive motor whirs and everything but doesn’t stay connected for longer than about 5 seconds.

I don’t have a CD drive even if I could remember where the CD is…

I had heard something about the encryption having issues on the newer Macs. And did try downloading the security software but not sure how to do the thing especially when the unlocker keeps docking and undocking from the finder window.

For your knowledge, I have tried connecting using different power pack, usb cord and an old Mac Pro as well. and have received the same experience.

any help would be so sincerely appreciated!
