MY 2TR Mybook Doesn't detected

Hi
my external 2TR mybook is not detected and I can’t see the partitions in mycomputer
I read this topic this is the same problem and I did all recommend in that topic but nothing happened

please help me
data on the HDD is not important I need MYBOOK to back and work

Hey there sky_eagle,
If you have followed these instructions and still doesn’t work, I have no idea honestly.

Anyway, I also have to mention that I don’t plug the USB all the way deep into the USB socket (I suppose that it’s a factory USB fault or something) in order to get the HDD working. Maybe you can try that? Insert the USB leaving it outside 2-3 mm, or try other USB mother sockets.

I think the firmware is corrupted or damaged but in windows we can’t do anything It should be in a upper environment such as DOS or with a special hardware that could monitor the HDD
in this case windows is unable to achieve the data

just a question:
when I download the ses I found that it is less than 1 MB
but in wdc /support it shows that it is 280MB !!! which one is correct

Idon’t know which size is correct
