Migrating from Mycloud 4TB to an EX2

To all,

I am very happy with the MY Cloud device that I own, but I need more space and want to better protect the data I have. I purchased the EX2 Ultra model and want to migrate my data from the old 4TB My cloud device to the new EX2. I know that just mapping drives and passing the I/O thru my PC (1gb network) is going to be slow (i have about 3TB of data)…is there and easier (and or quicker) way to do this? Thoughts? Thank you for your response in advance.

I recently had a similar issue.

Does the MyCloud have a USB connection i back? If so. . . you can run a backup job to an external drive and the do a backup from the USB to your new EX2.

Not pretty . but it doesn’t require the PC to run (beyond starting in the dashboard).
