i want to combine all hard drives into one volume without loosing everything i have on the drives. the setup is: volume 1 RAID 5, volume 2 spanning and volume 3 JBOD. i have over 6TB of files on this. Im a noob at all this and everything i have read said that if i want to do this then i would loose everything on all the drives.
please help.

Hi Laverticus,

Initializing New raid is a data destructive as drives will be formatted in the process of RAID initializing.

@WDStaff

For WD PR4100, is this still the case, or is there now a way where 2 volumes can be merged without losing the data?

Current configuration:
Volume 1 (Raid 5) [almost full]
Volume 2 (Span) [empty]

I would like to convert them to a single (Raid 5) volume and not lose any data in the process.
