i have 4x6TB on my PR4100 in Raid 1 configuration.
I see that after the setup i get volume 1 and volume 2.
My question is is it possible to merge them into single volume?
Short answer: No
Long answer:
Raid 1 presumes 2 drives; which are mirrored. Apparently when you said “Raid 1” when there are 4 drives present; then you got 2 set of 2 mirrored drives.
Conversion to a different raid configuration will wipe the drives.
I believe what you want is “Raid 5”; which stripes 3 drives worth of data across 4 drives. (so if you lose ONE drive. . .you still have a 3 drives worth of data. . .if you lose a second (of the 4) drive; you lose it all)
