I’m glad to have WD myCloud 4TB, but I faced some dificulties… Even changed my wifi router to a 300mbps capable one. The thing is… Any movie i want to stream from mycloud it laggs very much and after few lags it just disconects from devices and I need to wait till it get’s back in my TV as a device. I’m using Smart smart tv U6800 class connected via wifi.
What other info should I give to expect quick how-to?
When you use a computer close to your TV and you play a movie stored on the NAS from the DLNA client, is it working fine?
If yes, there is a connectivity issue with your TV. If no, then you have probably a Wifi speed issue. When you download a bif file from the NAS to that computer, what speed does Windows explorer show?
Well, it was some kind of magic yesterday as it played 1080HD without any lag. I don’t know what was the reason, but after I left him for a week without any config/reboot/etc. it started to work nicely
Thank You for a reply, don;t know if I get into this trouble in the near future…
so it happened yesterday. As I downloaded newest GoT serie tried to watch it on my tv. After few secods of streming it hang, then started playing and hanged once again. After this I’ve got an error stating that my device disconected from samsung tv. why? How can I avoid this?
Is there any way to know when files are being prepaired for streaming? Where is that? How it works?
Does seem to look like a TV issue and a few other samsung owners have reported similiar issues as you. I would have a search on the internet for media streaming issues on Samsung Smart TV’s.
